Native terrestrial orchids bloom across the southern states of Australia, mainly in Winter and Spring. Many are quite small and elusive, and their survival is threatened by habitat destruction. This detailed drawing of the aptly-named Rabbit Ears Sun Orchid (Thelymitra antennifera) enlarged about 5 times life size is part of my project depicting the fascinating terrestrial orchids in the Adelaide Hills. This drawing is professionally framed behind special art glass that is anti-reflective and UV-protective.
