Biography
.
Based in Melbourne, Julee Latimer creates dynamic, textural works that challenge traditional painting. Each piece is crafted through extensive cutting and assembly, resulting in intricate, tactile compositions.
.
Her work has been recognized as a finalist in major art prizes and is held in international collections, including Hotel Capella (Sydney), Hotel Conrad Orchard (Singapore) and the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab (Chicago, USA).
.
Latimer offers a distinctive voice in contemporary painting and sculpture, bridging genres with a bold, fiber-inspired approach and a global perspective.
