Artwork Description

Big, luscious White Waratah flowers with striking leaves on a pastel pink & apricot background.
I stopped on the side of the road to capture some photos of a beautiful White Waratah I spotted in someone's front garden. It was really windy, and they were bouncing around, making them tricky to photograph. Bobbing around like dancers: hence the name: Dancing Waratahs!
I wanted to study the white flower: on first view a white flower is white, but looking again you see many colours and variations.
This one was fun to paint and feels fresh and lively and fun, yet pretty.
