Whispers of Gold

Banksias have so much variety and I never get bored painting the different varieties.
These ones have been painted using banksia flowers in our garden as inspiration. We have almost exclusively Australian Natives in our garden, and it's so inspiring for my artwork.
I love the golden subtle variations in this painting; it's fresh and light and modern looking.

I live in West Gippsland, Victoria with my husband and two daughters. I have an illustration background and worked full time as a freelance illustrator for around ten years before having children. My work has been published in a variety of publications including books and magazines. These days I am focussing on creating art in the form of paintings and pottery.
