Based in Queensland’s Whitsundays, Jules Topaz is a contemporary Australian artist constantly inspired by the tropical light, rich colour and natural beauty around her. She has been drawing and painting since she was young, and was the child who could rarely resist doodling in the margins of her maths and science books. Art was always her escape — a place where she could get lost in colour, imagination and other worlds.
Jules paints beautiful paintings for people to live with, drawing from the tropical environment that surrounds her and her own interpretation of the places she loves. Her style has evolved through years of experimenting, blending realism and abstraction into the expressive botanical style she paints today. She loves allowing each piece to evolve naturally and discovering where it takes her.
Over the years, Jules’ work has been exhibited in Australia and internationally, including solo exhibitions in Melbourne, Queensland and group exhibitions in New York and Hong Kong. Her paintings are held in private collections and corporate establishments around the world, and her work has also been featured in Australian and international publications, including Professional Artist Magazine in the United States.
Whether you live nearby or half a world away, Jules hopes her paintings bring a little slice of tropical warmth into your home — and perhaps even inspire you to one day visit this incredible part of the world for yourself.
