Branching out (New Beginning)

This painting represents for me those first movements towards new beginnings, in art and in life, and a striving for all that is beautiful and good, and for passion and creativity.

Julia is a self-taught artist from the North Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Apart from studying art in High School and doing the odd short course in art, she has developed her artistic skill through the solo practice of art. She has a particular interest in Australian landscapes (gum trees in particular) and also in portraiture. She has had a number of formal art exhibitions including two exhibitions at the Fitzroy Gallery in Fitzroy, Melbourne and an exhibition at the business of a major law firm (at all of which she has sold a large number of works). She has sold works interstate and also internationally through social media networks.
