This artwork, Illusion of Control, was inspired by and is an emotional response to the bushfires and covid 19. The woman in period costume represents our vulnerability and the illusion of control that humans think we have over the environment. The environment is wild and free and we donโt have the power that we think we have. We should respect it and be in awe of it and somewhat afraid. We fail to respect it at our own peril.
