Artwork Description

Horses possess a raw, untamed freedom in their very DNA, yet for centuries, humanity has asked them to bear the weight of our manual labor. This paradox has fascinated me for a long time.

With this piece, I wanted to step away from viewing the horse simply as a worker, and instead explore its inner emotional world. What does a horse feel after a long day of giving its strength to others?

Here, I have captured a quiet, heavy moment of transition. The day’s work is done, and this magnificent creature is letting go of its burden, seeking nothing but peace. It is a study of rest, resilience, and the quiet dignity of a soul caught between service and the wild.

This artwork comes without a mat or a frame.

Artist Bio

I am a German-born artist now calling Australia home, bringing a European sensibility to the vibrant, rugged beauty of the Southern Hemisphere.

My work is rooted in Expressionism, focusing on the emotional resonance of a subject rather than its literal form. Working in both acrylics and oils, I use bold, stylized strokes and a rich color palette to translate my experiences into visual stories.

Having recently relocated to Australia, I am currently fascinated by the unique quality of light and the vastness of the landscape here, which has introduced a new energy to my paintings. Every piece I create is an invitation to see the world through a lens of heightened emotion and vivid texture.
