I have worked as a freelance illustrator, designer and printmaker for over 40 years. I was born and educated in the UK, and moved permanently to Australia in 2001. I am also a teacher of adults, specialising in drawing, watercolour and printmaking workshops.
My current work combines my three favourite media: watercolour painting, printmaking by hand, and the most subtle kinds of digital manipulation. My subject matter is living things, swinging between the human figure and other animals of all varieties: from marine species to birds, from the microscopic to the gargantuan. I often combine words with pictures in the form of haiga – a haiku juxtaposed with an image.
