This work began with a memory of standing among gum trees as the sun set, when the landscape felt charged with colour and energy. I wanted to capture that intensity, the strange glow that transforms something familiar into something almost electric. The red backdrop heightens the sense of warmth and emotion, while the layered greens and blues evoke shifting light and shadow.
In a room, this piece brings a sense of vitality and depth, it hums with contrast and energy, grounding the space while also lifting it with bold, expressive colour.
