Artwork Description

When visiting Shanghai on business I was amazed at the growth. It had a vast effect on the way I viewed my home town of Melbourne and I saw the endless possibilities the west had with China. The Chinese Symbol is that of a horse, all the symbols mean horse. I started with the horse symbol from 2000 years BC to the modern way the Chinese write horse now. So for horse lovers this large painting could be a good one for a large wall.

Artist Bio

I have been a minimal abstract artists since 2004 painting mainly oils, based in Country Northern Victoria and originally from Elwood Victoria but grew up in the Waverley area and the Gold Coast.

I like bold colours and I like to think my paintings inspire and colour up any interior. I’ve worked in the mainstream media working on series and as an artist for billboards and television commercials for the past 30 years as a professional hair and make up artist. When doing mixed media I’m used to seeing what makes a cover or what ‘magic’ shot would be used for billboards.

I’m currently working on a new series to publish here on bluethumb which includes mainly mixed media, collage, abstract work due to launch 2024.

Im a trained dog behaviorist and you can see that in my Staffy Stuff Series. Dogs are special sentient beings and I always suggest ‘ love them more’, walk them more, take them on more excursions and as a behaviorist ‘get to know your dog and let your dog get to know you’. Training them and training you is the best place to start and massage their little bodies is a great way to connect with them. They love that gentle muscle rub.

I love looking at other artists here, you are continually inspiring my mind and soul.
