Apollo

“Apollo” portrays the heated force of desire and the fire of the conscious ego.
Bold strokes of orange flame erupt beside the face, symbolising passion, pursuit, and the intensity of wanting something you cannot hold. In Jungian terms, he represents the solar principle clarity, ambition, and the drive to possess meaning outside of oneself. The expressive blacks and yellows give form to the restless tension between longing and frustration.

Inspired by the myth of Apollo chasing Daphne, this artwork captures the inner conflict of reaching beyond one’s limits and the moment when desire turns inward to reveal its shadow. His wide, burning eyes reflect both admiration and the fear of losing control.

I’m a Brazilian-born, self-taught Australian artist of European heritage. I paint intuitively, guided by emotion, symbolism, and my studies in Carl Jung’s analytical psychology. My creative process comes from within , a place where healing, archetypes, and transformation unfold through colour, texture, and instinct.
My multicultural background shapes the way I see the world: layered, complex, and always evolving. Each piece I create carries a healing energy and invites the viewer to feel, connect, and expand beyond the ordinary.
I believe art is a bridge between the conscious and the unconscious, and my work reflects that dialogue.
Forever unconventional, I create art that speaks to the soul.
My work blends colour, movement, and symbolic imagery to reconnect with our inner freedom, and the truth of who we are. Each piece is created from a place of presence, feeling, and purpose. I don’t follow rules or formal techniques; I follow the heart.
