Daphne

“Daphne” explores the moment a woman becomes one with her own inner nature.
Deep greens rise like living branches around her face, symbolising growth, intuition, and the instinctual wisdom Jung associated with the feminine unconscious the anima. Her clear, vibrant eye represents awareness awakening from within, while the textured layers of white and blue reflect emotional depth and the quiet strength of someone returning to herself.

Inspired by the myth of Daphne transforming into a laurel tree, this piece captures the psychology behind choosing self-preservation over pursuit, and identity over being desired. She is not running, she is becoming. The artwork invites the viewer to reflect on boundaries, transformation, and reconnecting with one’s natural inner truth.

I’m a Brazilian-born, self-taught Australian artist of European heritage. I paint intuitively, guided by emotion, symbolism, and my studies in Carl Jung’s analytical psychology. My creative process comes from within , a place where healing, archetypes, and transformation unfold through colour, texture, and instinct.
My multicultural background shapes the way I see the world: layered, complex, and always evolving. Each piece I create carries a healing energy and invites the viewer to feel, connect, and expand beyond the ordinary.
I believe art is a bridge between the conscious and the unconscious, and my work reflects that dialogue.
Forever unconventional, I create art that speaks to the soul.
My work blends colour, movement, and symbolic imagery to reconnect with our inner freedom, and the truth of who we are. Each piece is created from a place of presence, feeling, and purpose. I don’t follow rules or formal techniques; I follow the heart.
