Artwork Description

While looking for inspiration for a new wildlife painting, I came across this wonderful antelope. What really caught my attention was how his majestic horns evoke power and yet his eyes are so soft and gentle. I knew he would make a lovely painting. I hope you like him too.

I painted this in watercolour on artist quality 300gsm cold press paper and mounted on a pine art board. The painting has been sealed in matte sealer multiple times. Edges have been painted in acrylic wrapping onto the painting by 3mm and fully matte sealed. Hanging wire has been added to the back so it is ready to hang.

Artist Bio

Born in the UK and raised in Australia from the age of two, I’ve been creative for as long as I can remember—drawing, painting, and exploring many different artistic avenues since childhood. Over the years I developed a deep love for capturing the character of animals, spending many years painting pet portraits, which nurtured both my skills and passion for detail.

I now work primarily in watercolour, gouache, and acrylic, with a style that moves between realism, semi-realism, and works with an ethereal or dreamlike quality. My inspirations are wide-ranging, but I am especially drawn to fantasy, florals, and animals. Each piece is an expression of my love for the beauty of God’s creation and a way to share that wonder with others.

I currently live with my husband by the stunning Boondooma Dam in Queensland, where the natural surroundings provide endless inspiration for my art.
