Artwork Description

Encaustic is an ancient painting method and artworks have survived for thousands of years. The paint is made from beeswax and resin, pigmented and applied hot. The painting is fused between each layer of wax. This piece also relied on shellac burn to achieve some of the intricate texture. My encaustic pieces are buffed to a sheen and cured for several months before being offered for sale,
