I live and work in a rural community in the mid north of South Australia. I had no formal art training until I began a part time program of art tuition in oil painting with professional artist Nona Burden in 2017. My inspiration for my art practice is drawn from the immediate rural environment in which I live , and my response to it . Attracted to the way light falls and the shadows and atmosphere this union creates is the core of my work, intertwined with a strong connection to place.
