As a contemporary artist, I seamlessly blend painting with elements of nature, ceramics, and textiles. Each piece captures the vibrant essence of a life lived to its fullest, infused with memories and narratives from my extensive travels, constant exploration of galleries and vintage stores, and creative endeavours.
My artistic journey began in my early years, driven by a profound passion for drawing, painting, and crafting. Education and immersion in both historical and contemporary art have honed my keen observational skills and intricate techniques. Living near the picturesque Cooks River in Sydney's Inner West, I draw constant inspiration from my surroundings, translating the beauty of nature into my art.
I incorporate vintage and contemporary objects into my work, each carrying its own unique story. This infusion of personal significance and cultural memory enriches my art, offering viewers a layered and textured experience. I use a dramatic colour palette and bold graphic style, combined with impasto techniques and collage, to create a distinct and tactile visual language.
My work has been exhibited in renowned galleries across Australia, including the Affordable Art Fair, Corner Store Gallery, Toowoomba Art Gallery, Thienny Lee Gallery, Aspire Art Gallery, Milk Factory Gallery, and ArtworxSA. My pieces are cherished in private collections throughout Australia, the UK, and the USA. I also share my expertise through teaching at NIDA and hosting painting workshops at Green Door Studios.
Art, for me, is a testament to the ever-present inspiration found in the natural world. Explore my collection and let my work bring boundless inspiration into your life.
