Artwork Description

Step into a mystical forest where ancient trees hold lantern light, and a swirling portal reveals a distant golden realm. Two worlds meet here: one of soft grace and light, guarded by a white unicorn; one of deep mystery and strength, accompanied by a black stallion. A winding stream connects the two, flowing through enchanted blooms and ancient sentinel trees. Rich in colour, story, and symbolism, this wide-format original artwork brings timeless fantasy magic to any space.

Artist Bio

"My name is Julie McDonald, and I am an artist dedicated to the vibrant, versatile world of acrylic paints. My creative process centers on the use of high-quality acrylics layered onto traditionally stretched, gallery-wrapped canvas, a medium I have spent mastering to achieve both bold textures and delicate luminosity.

Art has been the steadfast anchor of my life, a lifelong passion that has matured alongside me throughout my adult years. It is more than just a creative outlet; it is a vital language through which I translate the internal landscape of my thoughts and dreams into physical reality. There is a profound, meditative joy in the act of extraction, taking the fleeting visions that dwell in the corners of my mind and meticulously coaxing them into existence on the white expanse of a blank canvas.

For me, the studio is a place of alchemy. Every piece I create is an intentional performance of care and heart, driven by the unique pleasure of turning pure imagination into something tangible. Whether I am exploring abstraction or capturing a quiet moment of realism, my ultimate goal is to bridge the gap between my inner world and the viewer’s experience, inviting others to share in the emotion, color, and wonder that sparked each work in the first place."
