Artist Bio

I have spent most of the last 50 years making things like paintings, gardens, houses, jokes, music and babies.
Now I concentrate on paintings, music and gardens. I am a firm believer in supporting and participating in the arts at a local, community level.

These days I have a studio in Newbury, Victoria. Open random weekends or by appointment.
Give me a call to find out when the next open weekend is: 0415 836 194. I'm happy to do commissions too.

Atm I have work at the Pig & Whistle in East Trentham as well as my studio open by appointment.

During my career as an artist I have participated in group and solo exhibitions in community based arts events to regional
galleries. Along the way I have won a few prizes and competitions.

My partner, Malcolm King and I have run our own artist run galleries in the Blue Mountains, Shoalhaven and Clarence Valley
not only showing our own work but other artists as well. We have hosted many community events in that time including
classes and groups with guest presenters and larger openings eg Artfest in Milton under our trading name Kingstudio. During our
time we have worked together or independently on many comunity based arts projects, the latest of which is a large mural/honour
board at Victoria Trades Hall in Melbourne., with our duaghter Mitzi McKenzie-King
