Since moving to Queensland a little over ten years ago I have found inspiration all around me, in the beautiful coastline, the light, the stormy hot summers, beautiful sunset skies, the beach and vivid tropical blooms. All Such a contrast to my upbringing in the North of England. I rediscovered my love of art in lock down, like a lot of people, and it gave me a sense of escapism.. losing myself in painting and using my imagination brings a huge sense of excitement to me when I am inspired to put paint to canvas..it's as if there is nothing else, no other priority to me but fulfilling this need. I am drawn to coastal hues but recently I have been drawn to retro colours .. colours of my youth .. combining magentas and peaches with greens and purples, as well as dusky pinks and smokey greys.
I am excited to share that I have been accepted to have some of my artworks installed at The Seaside Gallery in Redcliffe Queensland (info@seasideartists.com.au for more information) or
