In Julie Robertson's signature figurative style, this artwork was inspired by her grandchildren...whenever she takes them for a walk they insist on picking flowers for mum, and they are usually the yellow 'weeds' that all mothers for all time have received at least once from their children :) In this second depiction of a mother and son, it is certain this little man is reveling in his gift being worn so proudly by the woman he most adores.
