My artistic journey started in 2001 when I began my apprenticeship as a sculptor and stonemason in the rural city of Hannover, Germany.
My final works qualified me for scholarship allowing me to travel and work through Europe for the next year.
The countries I was able to visit and the buildings I had the privilege of working on left a lasting impression.
I have been working in restoration and conservation of heritage buildings since I arrived in Australia in 2005.
I have worked on many iconic buildings and structures through Sydney & Melbourne CBD.
Structures that have been standing for centuries and that with the work of the dedicated artists in the stonemasonry community will be standing for many more to come.
This restoration and conservation has been my main focus for the better part of two decades.
Over time my interest started to shift and develop towards new materials and I began to create my own bodies of work.
I draw inspiration from organic materials, focusing on showcasing its natural texture, colour and beauty; I aim to enhance the intrinsic features and not alter them.
Many of my works are made to the highest standard and are able to withstand exposure to any weather conditions making them suitable for indoor and outdoor spaces.
