Artwork Description

I was tempted to title this piece “Nature’s Fireworks “, due to the fireworks-like forms.
It was inspired by a fresh native posy - a gift from my nieces, which I then allowed to dry and age.
I find the subtle aged colours very soothing and a delight to paint.
The warm neutral colouring would fit almost any space and would add a touch of warm botanical detail.

After majoring in painting as part of my primary teaching diploma, I initially painted in oils. Having had approx 30 years hiatus, I am excited to again put brush to canvas, now working in acrylics.

I am inspired by our natural environment and especially by all aspects of our botanical world.

Each artwork is a fulfilling, delightful experience and an opportunity to develop new skills and techniques.
