Artwork Description

This three-dimensional mixed media work explores the many role women embody across different stages and spaces of life. Multiple faces emerge from richly layered, textured surfaces, reflecting the complexity, strength, and adaptability inherent in womanhood.

Each material and colour carries symbolic meaning. Rock-like textures speak to resilience and endurance; deep blues evoke the emotional depth of the heart; red signifies the inner fire and strength, while green suggests hope and renewal. The inclusion of toothpicks arranged as a fence introduces a powerful narrative element hinting at the boundaries and constraints that still exist, and the ongoing journey toward liberation.
