Artwork Description

This portray of a red billed leiothrix is shown soaked in water after a drenching . It is done in colored pencils on 210 gsm board and comes framed . This is an original drawing with no prints made .This sweet bird is native to Himalayas and southern China . It’s also known as Pekín nightingale or Pekín Robin . Other names are Japanese Robin or Japanese nightingale . This artwork is inspired from a photo by wild life photographer Vijay pal Singh , used with permission . It will look great placed on a side table , shelf or mantelpiece and is sure to be a conversation starter. It also has a hook attachment and can be hung on the wall if required . The frame has not been sealed and therefore the artwork can easily be transferred to another frame to suit the buyer’s decor.

Artist Bio

Jyoti is a Sydney based artist who takes great joy in drawing birds and butterflies in coloured pencils. She loves spending time in her garden and takes inspiration from flowers and all the winged creatures that frequent there. Jyoti studied psychology and worked as a social worker professionally for over 20 years before turning to drawing with gusto during the covid lockdown. Jyoti ,these days is engaged in her artistic pursuit singularly and is passionate about creating art that is unique and affordable.
