The Cove' is an amazing, hidden little gem, tucked away on the far tip of the Coromandel Peninsula, three hours away from Auckland, New Zealand. There is no road access to it unless you are the owner and I have never been able to discover how you get to it by car.

How did I find it then?

Not far from here I have a beach house and often go wandering over the hills along the coast line. You can't even get to this cove by going around the rocks.

To me it is another of those magical places I have happened upon in New Zealand. Looking down on it you feel almost like you are in a dream, and this this what I have tried to capture in the painting.
