Artwork Description

20cm x 15cm (8″ x 6″), Oil on Panel
2026

Framed in a hand finished wooden frame

A refined, gallery-grade frame with a deep, sculpted traditional profile and subtle stepped detailing. Hand finished in a rich, dark brown tone with warm highlights, the Atelier frame features delicate tonal variation through the moulding, giving it a quiet, aged character without overpowering the artwork. The inner edge is accented with a fine gold slip, adding a touch of classical elegance and drawing the eye inward.

Artist Bio

Alla prima artist.

All of my paintings come varnished.

Kaleb Clements is an oil painter born in 1997 in Northern NSW, Australia and started painting when he was 22. Kaleb’s work is inspired by the 19th century impressionist and realist masters. He is influenced by many artists around the world both living and dead. Kaleb’s inspirations include, Arthur Streeton, Julian Merrow-smith, Rosa Bonheur and John Singer Sargent. Inspiration for his landscapes is drawn from the local surroundings of Northern NSW and the Gold Coast. Kaleb wants his art to be accessable to everyone, to display in their homes and offices to add elegance and be enjoyed for decades.

Oil paintings have a long history in European culture, where art isn’t just displayed, it’s lived with, becoming part of the home and family over time.
I’m passionate about continuing my European heritage by creating pieces that bring the richness and presence of handcrafted artwork into contemporary spaces using the highest quality materials, oil paints and alla prima techniques.

My favourite period of history is the Regency era between 1795 – 1837. My love of this era has me collecting old looking objects and furniture and creating art. This practice connects me to the rich history of the past and keeps tradition alive and meaningful in the present day. Having art and beautiful objects trasforms a house into a home and I am deeply honoured to provide this to all of my collectors. Having people collect my work is a dream come true! Thank you.
