Kalinda Nelson-Boyd is a qualified Art Therapist, Artist & Mother.
Kalinda draws upon her own emotional and mental experiences and insight to inspire her art practice.
They believe all art has depth and connection to the artist, the artist’s environment, and the artist’s history (generational, emotional, social and experiential).
Kalinda often explores the raw, confronting, vibrant emotions such as anger, infuriation, grief, disappointment, judgement, self-harm, grandiose, and the stillness of an intense emotional moment in their art.
With the environmental context of being an Anglo-Saxon white Australian, with generational problematic history, Kalinda is conflicted by the inspiration that beautiful Australian country depicts, and the ethically-questionable impact they have had and continue to have on Australian country.
