Resurfacing after the Wave

This striking piece will capture an audience with its vibrant colours and abstraction. A piece made for contemplation it was inspired after a time in my life where I addressed some health concerns and I started to learn how to surf. I decided to embrace a new challenge, and even though it was difficult I found the experience truly wonderful. I felt it reflected my life circumstances, where I broke through the “waves” (challenges) of life to resurface and start again.

I predominantly work in Acrylic and watercolour. My work includes Abstract, Portraiture, and Landscapes. My works vary in sizes. I draw my inspiration from the everyday, family, and travel. My landscapes attempt to capture the beautiful world we live in, the contrasts of colour and the emotion of each place.
