Artwork Description

The Japanese art of kintsugi was was inspiration. The process of joining broken pieces of pottery back together and sealing the cracks with gold. This makes something which seems worthless more beautiful and valuable than before it was broken. Life is valuable, no matter how broken it can become beautiful again. This is quite a feminine piece, which would look good on a make-up table or bedside table as a reminder of your beauty.

Artist Bio

I have always enjoyed drawing even as a young child. Being mostly self taught I have developed my own style with unique character.
I enjoy the whimsical side of life and I believe this reflects in my work.
My love of drawing has culminated in works created on canvas with acrylic paint pens, ink pens and added foil leaf highlights on some of my pieces.
I like the contrast of black and white and I keep this as my main concept, with an added splash of colour for contrast and vibrancy. There are often some hidden surprises in my works that encourages discussion and areas of interest.
Many of my pieces have a childlike appeal but I also cater for the more mature collector.
I have sold pieces, locally, nationally and internationally and have had pieces included in joint and solo exhibitions in my local area.
