Celeste always knew she was destined for the spotlight

I've been depicting native animals for years but although their personalities are often cheeky, funny, sweet etc, the depictions always struck me as quite serious. When I created art to uplift a Sydney Children's Hospital, the combination of personality & ridiculousness resulted in happily outrageous works like 'Celeste' (who always knew she was destined for the spotlight!)

With 2 artworks purchased for the Australian Embassy in Kabul, Bloomfield is one of a select group of Australian artists chosen to represent Australian Art in International Embassies. Bloomfield, Associate Member of the Royal Art Society of NSW (ARAS) and a Fellow with the Australian Society of Marine Artists (FASMA), is regularly exhibited in some of Australia’s most prestigious art awards. Bloomfield has created a brand for herself through two distinctive mediums: Industrial oil paintings; and Australian Wildlife in charcoal & ink. Bloomfield’s recent works have melded the styles to create the very exciting ‘Reductionist Pop’ genre.
