The works in this series, are inspired by the landscapes and fauna and flora of Australia.
The title references this as a deconstructed Banksia, the similarity between the brush strokes and tiny flowers that form a Banksia flower.

The Artist explores the freedom to create using techniques available, layering of paint over many months gave a solid ground on which to explore mark making techniques, defined by the size and shape of the brush.

The artist usually utilises short square brushes to create blocks of colour and contrast when including mark making in her work, covering only parts of the canvas.

Where as, this work features a multitude of repetitive marks consuming the entire canvas. The appearance of the marks are influenced by the tonal back ground.

The marks are abstract and numerous most are similar and have a sense of conformity and organisation.

The sides are painted green, the work can be left unframed it is ready to hang, alternatively Blue thumb can arrange framing for the collector.

The cost of the work includes the cost of custom packaging to ensure it arrives safely with the collector. Packaging are this large takes a few days, please be patient.
