Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the back.

This new body of work evolved during lockdowns, with so much time available in the studio, and often in response to being confined
my focus became narrow and focused on the dried native flowers in my studio. This focus concentrated on the minute aspects of the banksia flowers and the protea flowers.
These flowers are made up from an abundance of tiny brush stroke shaped flowers, they really caught my imagination, and after a series of experiments they have evolved into these mesmerizing works.

This small work is a little piece of joy to add to your collection, it is signed on the back and on the side.

Blues, greens, peach lilac and pink repetitive mark making, using a small brush to create a veneer over the abstract landscape below. resulting in a calming work.An abstract landscape of layers and contrast in small brush strokes arranged in a pattern, covered in individual mark making creating a veneer, the intention is to obscure what lies below in a beautiful way. Each mark is the result of many layers, and the colours are all mixed by the artist in a careful way. This work features every shade of blue and green, and hints and hues of lilac, peach and pinkA joyful work full of deep to pastel tones and colours, inspired by my garden outside my art studio. Shades of bluey green and all shades of green mark making creates a veneer over the abstract landscape background.Hot shades in the background, completely paired back by a veneer of brush strokes, in shades of blues and greens, giving the viewer a pixelated aerial view of an abstract landscape.
