This work figures as part of my "Fragments" series where the paintings represent fragments of mythical or indistinctly remembered landscapes and life forms.
The work features many layers where elements have been added or removed to create a sense of richness and history.

Award winning artist Karen runs a busy arts practice from her hand-sculpted cob studio/gallery at Yankalilla South Australia where she alternates between portraiture, abstract painting and fibre arts. A passion for colour and for experimenting with materials and techniques informs her practice. Her work features in private collections in both Australia and Europe.
