'In the distance' original intuitive abstract framed ready to hang

There's something about watching the sunset that makes me reflect back on my life and feel grateful for what I have. I appreciate everything..... the good, the not so good. I feel content and excited for the future. I have attempted to capture these feelings in this mixed media abstract sunset painting. It would be a great addition to your home, office or collection to add a sense of calm. This artwork is painted on stretched canvas, with a painted timber frame, ready to hang, with hanging wire on the back. I have coated it with 2 layers of good quality varnish to protect its surface. Its initialled on the front and signed on the back.

Each of my mixed media works are built up of many layers. Sometimes the layers will completely disappear, sometimes you can see little traces left behind. I keep adding layer upon layer until I reach a point where I feel that the artwork is finished.

 I usually work intuitively with acrylic paint but I can include a variety of mixed media in my work, including pencil, oil pastel, dry pastel, collage, paint markers and china markers to create each unique piece.

I have been creating art for more than 40 years, mainly as a hobby, but now at this time in my life I am making art my full-time passion. Art is my reason to live, my everything, it feeds my soul and makes me happy.  I hope that these feelings and emotions are passed on to you, as a viewer/owner of my work.

I love nothing more than hearing from the new owner of one of my works, that it has impacted their life in a positive way, that they love to have my work in their private home, office or workplace. It makes my day and fuels my passion to create more art.
