Live with Joy Acrylic painting on canvas ready to hang

In this intuitive painting I explore the idea of living with joy. I used many shades of green, as green represents nature to me. I always feel joy when I can connect with the outdoors and nature. I coupled the greens together with pinks, as I find pink and its many shades to be an optimistic colour. Optimism is something that I need to feel in order to live my life with joy .
I built up many layers of paint and inscribed the words 'Live with Joy' in the wet paint, many times during the painting of this one.

This artwork is painted on stretched canvas, ready to hang, with hanging wire on the back. I have coated it with 2 layers of good quality varnish to protect its surface.
Its initialled on the front and signed on the back.
A certificate of authenticity will be included.

Each of my mixed media works are built up of many layers. Sometimes the layers will completely disappear, sometimes you can see little traces left behind. I keep adding layer upon layer until I reach a point where I feel that the artwork is finished.

 I usually work intuitively with acrylic paint but I can include a variety of mixed media in my work, including pencil, oil pastel, dry pastel, collage, paint markers and china markers to create each unique piece.

I have been creating art for more than 40 years, mainly as a hobby, but now at this time in my life I am making art my full-time passion. Art is my reason to live, my everything, it feeds my soul and makes me happy.  I hope that these feelings and emotions are passed on to you, as a viewer/owner of my work.

I love nothing more than hearing from the new owner of one of my works, that it has impacted their life in a positive way, that they love to have my work in their private home, office or workplace. It makes my day and fuels my passion to create more art.

My work is held in private collections in Australia and also overseas.
