In my work I am interested in the connection between memory and the spaces we occupy. Music evokes emotional responses that can transport us to a time and place of our past. Titled with lyrics from 'Walking on Sunshine ' Katrina and the Waves
Songlines are used in Aboriginal culture to share messages of the mapping of land and passing down of cultural stories.
Exploring the connection between landscape and memory and more specifically the remnants and traces left in environments either in a physical form or as emotion.
Aboriginal peoples have walked this country for thousands of years, leaving tracks which are both tangible and spiritual.
I challenge the idea of ' Past' as something no longer existing. I believe it remains,in our memory and the land.In what we see and what we cannot.
