Artwork Description

Abstract Landscape From a series of coastal inspired abstract distilled landscape works.
A reproduction print of my original paint and collage art work.
Simplified Organic forms in cool colours of the earth and Australian coastal landscape.
Inspired by mid century 20th century artists and meditation
Calming earth colours of stone and aqua to promote peace, grounding, calm and wellbeing.
I just love creating these collages that are inspired by our beautiful planet.

About the Print:
The print is created in a specialty Fine Art giclee printing house in Australia on 100% cotton fine art archival 310gsm rag paper. The paper has a lovely subtle matt texture which adds to the quality of the art.
The print comes with a small white border to allow for framing.
Frame not included. Please advise if you would like it framed.

Artist Bio

Painting about this country, my experience within it, and connection to it.

I consider each painting to be a little celebration of the planet that we live on...
In the north of Australia everything glows and sparkles in the bleaching sun.
I am surrounded by giant granite boulders, mountains, ocean and a rich amount of animal and plant life... the natural world defines experience here.
I paint about this environment and my experience within that.
It is an intuitive and exploratory process where I relish the physical qualities of the various media: acrylics, oils, watercolours, ochres, pastels, volcanic rock, charcoal and graphite, among others...
I am interested in how the various media respond to each other and at times can suggest or reflect the earths processes and our own human processes.
