I have always been interested in art and inspired by nature, enjoying the peaceful connection with scenery and wildlife through hiking & kayaking. There is always something to visualise in the bush and the variety and vibrancy of colour in the foliage is spectacular. The Coastal Banksias and the elusive Waratah's are two of my favourites . When out on the water paddling, every day is different and there is always something to see, the changing colours of the sky or water, various birds and marine animals, restored putter boats that all occupy the waterways and provide so many opportunities to be captured in a painting
My art journey has been enhanced by joining various art collaboratives where connections are made with like minded people and skills are further developed. Since joining the North Avoca Tramway Art Collaborative, I have been mentored by artist Cheryl Willcox. Cheryl has encouraged and supported my growth and provided valuable information on how to capture light and shade and how important composition is to create an interesting painting
I hope you enjoy my work
