Doilies and Blooms

My love of upcycling and fond memories of doilies being in every childhood house I lived and visited attracts me to bringing the doily back into homes. A decorative feel all round with quirky styled vase and animated floral arrangement brought to life with loose line work as well as the use of tissue paper to create the fuchsia coloured flowers.

I am a contemporary artist, painting on canvas with acrylic paint and sometimes mixed media. My work portrays nature, sea and land scapes, in an abstracted form. Imagery conveys not only the subject matter, but elements of texture, depth, energy and movement to connect with the viewer. I am inspired by the many wonders of the natural environment, by the rich experiences gained whilst travelling, and by a vivid imagination.
