Marine Shallows

This artwork uses rich coloured acrylic paint in mid light greens and deep blues contrasted with the washed white organic shapes evoking the coral reef. The painting has a gloss varnish surface and is framed in a simple wooden frame which has been painted in a wash of light green.

I am a contemporary artist, painting on canvas with acrylic paint and sometimes mixed media. My work portrays nature, sea and land scapes, in an abstracted form. Imagery conveys not only the subject matter, but elements of texture, depth, energy and movement to connect with the viewer. I am inspired by the many wonders of the natural environment, by the rich experiences gained whilst travelling, and by a vivid imagination.
