Watercolour on paper
Signed certificate of authenticity.
One of my whimsical cat paintings, done in watercolour on very heavy watercolour paper. I do love working on Arches, 600 gsm watercolour paper, because there is no need to stretch the paper, and I can just go for it. I work in layers , and with this painting I started by tinting the wet paper with transparent watercolours. Once that was dry, I drew a bunch of abstract cats. Then stared to create the cats with many layers or glazes of transparent watercolours. Each layer has to dry before I add another glaze. I also love to mix colours on the paper. It's really a lot of fun.
