Through my artwork, I seek to capture the spirit of the Australian landscape and invite viewers to share in my personal experience of the natural world.
"At Wategos Beach, Byron Bay" captures the pandanus trees surrounding the beach at one of Australia’s most beloved coastal locations.
With silhouetted forms and flattened perspective, the composition evokes quiet contemplation and references the aesthetic of Japanese woodblock prints. Part of a series inspired by the coastal landscapes of northern New South Wales, this work is part of a broader series of landscape paintings exploring memory and place.
