Sydney born artist, Kasandra Ross currently lives on the Gold Coast in Southern Queensland.
Kasandra studied traditional realism in the classical atelier curriculum at Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney.
She has been a semi-finalist in the Doug Moran National Portrait Prize in 2018 and finalist in Sydney Women’s Art Prize in 2017.
Her works are an exploration of contrast and form, incorporating modern and classical influences with a focus on achieving compositional aesthetic balance.
Her latest figurative narratives are deeply rooted in psychology and the powerful influences of archetypes on the human psyche whilst using the universal language of myth and symbol.
Kasandra also paints classical portraiture, modern coastal scenes and children’s works for her growing number of collectors.
