Two Trees
Print and paper size: 44 x 59cm (WxH).
This is a bleed print, meaning that the image is printed to the edge of the paper. Bleed prints can be framed in a window mount or as a float mount to expose the deckled edge.
As the title suggests, there are two different trees entwined together: on the left is a European beech tree, the other a fig tree from the southern hemisphere. This print is from a body of work about the Slavic myths or folk stories about the entities that lived in forests and bogs. The fig tree is a reference to Australian trees and what they embody culturally.
