So many beach paintings depict the beach in the foreground but this painting gives us a different view, of a family on the beach with their car. This painting was based upon a photograph taken by a drone, early on a hot summer's day. The shadows are long, and the turquoise water, enticing.

Humanity is continuously drawn to the sea. In this case, it is a hot summer's day and the family has driven to the water's edge to feel the cool breeze, the turquoise water inviting them to dive in. Here we see the scene from the air, hovering over the water.
