Artwork Description

The crow represents change or transformation. But much more than that, it refers to a spiritual or emotional change. In Native American folklore they believed crows to be cleansers of both land and mind. The crow meaning for Native Americans is different from the rest of the world. While the rest of the world largely saw them as a dark omen, they consider them to be a sign of good fortune. I wanted to portray these beautiful feathered creatures in their positive light surrounded by bright colours.
