Artwork Description

Pause is inspired by the shifting blues and sandy tones of the Perth, Western Australia coastline. Created using acrylic fluid art, the piece captures that quiet pause by the water, when the tide softens, and everything slows.

Pause was created using the process of fluid art. The layering of paints and chemical interactions creates a one-of-a-kind piece that cannot be recreated.

Artist Bio

Based in Western Australia, I create abstract coastal artworks inspired by the raw beauty of our magnificent beaches. Working primarily with acrylic fluid techniques and resin since 2017, my practice explores the movement of tide, shoreline and shifting light.

Living near the ocean shapes everything I make. I’m drawn to the meeting point of land and sea, where colour, texture and motion are constantly changing. Through layered pours and flowing forms, I aim to capture that fleeting moment when waves soften and the coastline feels still.

My work is an invitation to pause, to notice, and to bring a sense of the coast indoors.
