Kate has held a lifelong passion for drawing and painting, attending a specialist arts school followed by studies through Curtin University's Fine Arts program.
Kate's still life work usually depicts traditional subject matter but often mixes realism with pop. Sometimes subjects include non traditional and 'trash' objects in contrast to the traditional objects and things.
Recently Kate has added abstract work to her practice, with paintings filled with organic shapes inspired by the tiny details in nature.
Kate works primarily in acrylic and sometimes in watercolour in her home studio in Perth Western Australia.
