We generally all have a favourite pub that we frequent. The 'Rochey' sits prominently on Johnston Street, Fitzroy, and if you're a daily cyclist you'll pass it in the bike lane on George Street. Buildings, especially pubs, are a part of Australian life and create a haven of comfort for many, be it inside in the dark cosy corners, or standing outside, protected by the facades' familiarity. This is part of my series looking at what buildings mean to us and how they can offer solace to each of us in a multitude of individual ways.
